Cabinnet construction is by far the hardest and most time consuming product I make due the the fact that the drawers are either finger jointed or dovetailed. The drawer are usually side hung with hard rock maple runners to insure the drawer will never swell shut. Each piece is custom in its creation and varies from piece to piece. All chests and cabinets are created from either solid domestic or exotic lumber. In my work transitions are a really important aspect and help create a unique stance for each piece. This can be seen in the transition from the base to the cabinet or the transition from the cabinet to the drawer faces. Each cabinet and chest design utilizes a type of joinery that will last for centuries, i.e. finger joints or dovetails. Only the highest quality hardware is selected for each piece.
