Band sawn boxes are exercises in form.  These items are cut and shaped from one piece of wood.  As the name implies these boxes shapes are cut on the band saw.  Consequently, I enjoy the opportunity to implement color and material changes on the inside of the boxes which makes each piece unique.

Milk paint, hand texture surfaces and intricate veneer and lid liners. These pieces utilize both domestic and exotic hardwoods and veneers and are a wonderful gift idea.

The spoons range in size and some are quite large 7 feet to 8 feet in some cases.  Resulting in mostly decorative items, A heavy influence on this part of my work is Barry Gordon.  A professional spoon maker, Barry Gordon who is an amazing artist and person.

These spoons are purely decorative and display on the wall or buffet table. The inside of the spoons usually has a texture.  This is a nice contrast to the spoke shave handles.

The mirror series, an experiment with surface texture and milk paints.

There are three series of mirrors, a circular series, scalloped series and a curve series, All play off the same idea of experimenting with surface color and texture.

The nesting plates are experimenting with hand texture on surfaces. Each piece has a set of three plates that seat inside of one another.   These pieces display inside themselves or individually, they make great center piece for a table.
