Heirloom Chests & Cabinets
Heirloom Chests & Cabinets construction is by far the hardest and most time-consuming product I make. Due the fact that the drawers are either finger joints or dovetails. The drawer is either side hung or pocket fit. Hard rock maple drawer construction ensures the drawer will be durable
Each custom one-off heirloom chests & cabinets varies from piece to piece. All chests & cabinets are created from either solid domestic or exotic lumber. In my work transitions are a really important aspect and help create a unique stance for each piece.
This can be seen in the transition from the base to the cabinet or the transition from the cabinet to the drawer faces. Each cabinet and chest design utilizes a type of joinery that will last for centuries, i.e. finger joints or dovetails. Only the highest quality hardware is selected for each piece.
